This page describes what we collect when you visit this site, join the private beta waitlist, or use the app, and how we use that information.
What we collect
- The email address you submit to join the waitlist.
- Any optional trip questions you choose to answer after confirming your email (first name, trip timing, travel party, and whether you’re open to a short research conversation).
- A record of your consent, including the consent version and the time you gave it.
- Your coarse country, derived from your network connection.
- Anonymous funnel events — page and button interactions tied to a randomly generated session identifier, not to your identity.
What we do not collect
- We do not run advertising trackers or third-party ad pixels on this site.
- We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
How we use this information
We use your email address to confirm your signup, invite selected households into the private beta, and send beta and launch updates. We use optional trip details to match beta invitations to households we can help. We use aggregate, anonymous funnel events to understand how this page performs and where to improve it.
Who processes this information
We deliver email through Postmark. We measure aggregate site traffic through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
Diagnostic and usage information
The app sends diagnostic and usage information so our support team can investigate problems. This includes the screen you are using, when the app enters or leaves the background, request failures and error codes, plan-sync results, notification permission, app and operating-system versions, device model, language, time zone, and measured clock offset.
These records are linked to your account. They can include internal trip and day identifiers so support can identify the affected trip. They do not include document or message contents, trip or place names, email addresses, precise location, or text you enter. Device information identifies the model, such as “iPhone 16 Pro,” rather than a device serial number. Request diagnostics use route names with record identifiers and query parameters removed.
The app keeps a temporary queue of up to 250 events for up to 24 hours when it cannot send them. Signing out or changing accounts clears that queue. Server event records are normally retained for 30 days. The latest-state summary is replaced as new reports arrive and expires after 30 days without a new report.
When you contact support, authorized staff can request a diagnostic report from the app. It contains recent structured diagnostic events, device and app information, and the status of the diagnostic upload queue. It does not collect free-form device logs. Reports expire after 7 days; staff access requires authorization, and downloads are audited.
A documented retention hold can delay deletion when information needs to be preserved. Access remains restricted during a hold. You can contact hello@triptree.travel to ask about diagnostic information associated with your account.
Your controls
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@triptree.travel.
Retention
We retain waitlist data until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the private beta ends, whichever comes first.
